Rood or rode?

When the color comes before a noun, it usually gets an -e. After een or geen with a het-word, it does not.

When the color comes after the verb, it never gets an -e.

de rode jas: de-word: with -e
het rode huis: het-word with het: with -e
een rood huis: het-word with een: no -e
De jas is rood.: after the verb: no -e
